Clarendon Hills Basement Remodleing
This beautiful basement is just loaded with features and details. The cabinetry for the custom bar, entertainment center and bath are Bertch Legacy St.Thomas door style in a Cognac Heritage finish. The custom bar includes ice maker, fridge, brass foot rail, under cabinet lighting, oil rubbed faucet and under mount bar sink. Other features include 12" sound insulation in ceiling with a layer of "mass loaded vinyl", custom wrapped post, entertainment center, custom shutters, bath with shower and hand held sprayer, custom entertainment system with 3 screens and much more. The counter tops are "Magma" granite with an eased edge.
Homer Glen Basement Remodeling
This basement remodeling project features gel fuel fireplace surrounded by Beachwalk Ledgerstone, entertainment system and surround sound speakers place in recessed niches, Manington flooring, custom shutters, office, kitchenette, full bath and unfinished storage room. The bath cabinetry is Bertch Bath Morocca door style in cherry wood and Espresso finish. The wainscot and post wrapping are built up with Bertch Legacy Standford in Alder with a chestnut finish. The kitchenette is Bertch Marketplace Standford door in Alder with a Chestnut finish. The full bath features a shower with hand shower and built with a wedi Shower system.
Naperville Basement Remodeling
This basement remodeling project features a custom built wine cellar, gentleman's smoking room, buffet with fridge and micro and a bath with shower. The wine cellar tasting table has a travertine backsplash and top with handpicked slate for color match on the floor. The smoking room has a multi-draw Fantech 750 exhaust system. The wrought iron lighting fixtures add a Tuscan flavor.
Riverside Basement Remodeling
The finished area of this basement is about 600 square feet. The bar has a sink, fridge and travertine tiled floor. The cabinets are Bertch Quincy in a Brindle finish. We took advantage of a recess in the foundation by installing cabinets from IKEA which we modified to fit nicely in the niche providing a custom built in look. We sprayed the walls with white semi-gloss and ceiling in the laundry room and storage room and installed a glue down vinyl floor for a clean easy to maintain look.
Chicago, Edgewater - condo renovation
This challenging project presented issues in every room that required creative solutions. This building was at least 60 years old with lath and plaster. The entire electrical system was upgraded along with plumbing upgrades. Each room had plaster defects which required extensive repairs or replacement. We replaced the fireplace mantle, shelves and installed honed travertine tiles. The bathroom was gutted and we installed a wedi shower system from floor to ceiling. All of the trim and doors that were salvageable were stripped, stain and refinished. We then installed new painted trim to maintain the period look of this unit. As bad as the original oak floors were we were able to restore them to a just installed condition. The kitchen cabinets are Bertch St. James doors. From start to finish this project took eight weeks.
Arlington Heights
Basic Basement Remodeling
This project was about 500 square feet. Originally a typical catch all area that was dated and uncomfortable it is now an attractive basement that serves as a play area for this kids, small home office and an entertainment center. The built in cabinets are from IKEA that we modified to fit under the sofit which help reduce the overall cost of this project. For the stairwell we fabricated stringer boards, finished off the angled knee wall and trimmed it out for a nice finished look.
Wheaton Custom Railing and Brazilian Cherry flooring
The overall style of the the rest of this home was more of a transitional look with many craftsman details. The traditional style staircase just seemed out of place. We replaced the railing, stripped and refinished the treads and painted the risers. We also replaced the bottom step and chandelier. We removed the carpeting and installed 5" Brazilian Cherry Hardwood Flooring in the second floor.
